BookSmith AI ("we", "us") provides an AI-native book creation and publishing platform. By creating an account or purchasing credits you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity on your account.
The Service uses one-time credits, not a subscription. Each purchased "book credit" unlocks full access to all agents, exports (KDP, IngramSpark, EPUB, PDF, hardcover, audiobook), marketing tools, and translation credits for a single book project. Credits do not expire.
The Free tier allows one draft book limited to outline generation, one drafted chapter, and one cover. Exports, publishing, and translation are unavailable until a book credit is applied.
Translation credits are pooled across your account and may be used on any paid book you own. Additional translation credits may be purchased individually.
You retain ownership of your original inputs (title, premise, uploaded manuscripts, references) and the final book you assemble. You are responsible for ensuring your inputs do not infringe third-party rights. AI-generated text and images are provided "as is"; you must review them before publication.
You may not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, or that impersonates real persons in a misleading way. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Payments are processed by Stripe. AI generation may be routed through OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and other providers. Publishing exports are formatted for third-party platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, etc.), each with its own terms which you are responsible for accepting.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
